Ethereum Classic is on the rise currently after comments from Vitalik Buterik, co-founder of Ethereum, stating that Ethereum Classic is a fine chain.

The main reason behind this comment is that after the merge Ethereum will become Proof of Stake blockchain, while Ethereum Classic will continue as a Proof of Work blockchain.
